Scary Story 1 by. Serim

Once upon a time, there was a pair of best friends, Allison and Paul. They lived in England, London where they met each other in high school and promised to meet again in Cambridge university. Time passed and they both successfully went into the Cambridge university. They had great advantages there. Also, there was a cottage near the school. It was actually a haunted cottage and students living near the cottage wanted to know more about it but was afraid to go in. A group of boys was planning to go into the cottage during midnight without permission when the professors scolded them for no reason. The boys were Paul, Ki Hwan, Leo, and Tonny. They went in and didn't come out again, never, ever. The Cambridge professors were worried and looked over at the CCTV and found out they went into the forbidden cottage. Professor Dung and Professor Eyeball blamed themselves and called Allison, Chloe, Serim and Minji."Professor Dung and Professor Eyeball said that we needed to go and fetch the boys that went into the cottage with the cottage legend! said Serim. "What's that??" asked Chloe, Minji, and Allison. Serim sighed a frightened sigh. "Long time ago, a group of boys went into the haunted cottage and the rumors are they got caught by ghosts and evil spirits there. I was there myself, listening to the boys' screams." said Serim, shivering. The other girls all said a word of comfort to Serim. "That must be a really horrible rumor." said Allison. "Who made that horrible rumor??" said Minji. "That rumor must be fake." said Chloe. But secretly, all of the girls were afraid. They all believed in Serim's story of the screaming boys and the legend. "Those boys must NOT be dead. I will not hear people screaming in that cottage anymore. I'm not going in there." said Serim. "It's okay, it is just a rumor! Come on, Serim. Come with us."said the other girls. Scared, Serim followed the other three girls that were trotting up the path up to the cottage. "You're not scared because you have never heard the scream!! It was horrible!! I'm not going to push myself into hearing that scream again."said Serim. The other girls were not scared as Serim was and all of them were determined to go in. They saw the boys!! The boys were trying to go in but Minji yelled, "Guys!!" The boys looked at each other. "We just want to go in and explore!! Leave us alone, okay??"Paul said, the most adventurous one. "Okay, then we are going with you." The girls said in unison except Serim. "Lets just promise we don't tell anyone when we come out." said Allison. They all agreed, including Serim this time. The girls were surprised. Seeing the girls' surprised face, Serim said, "I'm not leaving you guys in danger like the last time." "Yes!!" They all shouted together. They all trotted in, pulling Serim along. "God! Please keep all of us safe!!" Serim murmured. As they went in, they saw the inside carefully as they went in. They had never seen a house like this with a door leading right to a room. The door opened. "Crreaak!!" The door creaked as they went in. Paul was at the lead, bouncing at the thought of adventuring with his friends, especially Ki Hwan, his best friend. Suddenly without warning, spears were thrown at them. A lot of them stuck to the door. And Paul who was in lead was thrown to the air with a spear through him. He smashed the wall and fell down with a loud thump, motionless. Everyone was horrified. And in his hand was a paper that was written in blood "Paul, you will live here forever with us and Ki Hwan, you are the next one to die!" The terrified girls turned back to the entrance."Click!!" The door clicked in the most horrible way possible. The door was locked shut. The others gasped, all except Paul, who was dead, and Serim. "I'm sorry, Paul. I came here to make sure nobody dies, but..." Serim whispered. Hearing that whisper, Allison said in a low voice, "I'm sure it was not your fault he died, Serim." After they had time to mourn for Paul, they turned to the door that led deeper into the house. The next door led to a stairway to the second floor. Every time they stepped on the stairs, it made an unpleasant creaking sound. Leo and Ki Hwan was anxious to break the curse and get out of the house. They went ahead of the girls and Tonny. Suddenly, the girls heard a shout from upstairs. "No!!! Kiwi! 'Leo was shouting. The girls would have laughed if they weren't in the haunted cottage or if they didn't hear the deadly terror in Leo's voice. The girls shot up to the room, Serim in the lead. The other girls didn't want to be in the lead after what happened to Paul. But Serim was desperate to not let people die. Despite what happened to Paul, she rushed ahead. Leo looked at her with a blank face, white with terror. "Ki Hwan is dead." Leo croaked. "And look at what the blood trail says." Serim reluctantly let her eyes follow the blood trail. She slowly looked at Ki Hwan. He was at the corner of the room lying on the ground like Paul, blood all over him. The blood trail said "Ha ha, Leo! You'll be following soon..." Terror filled his eye as he looked at the blood trail again. The others had caught up and looked at them, standing frozen in the staircase in horror. There was another room in the same floor and they went in there. Leo and Serim still looked horrified.They all went into the room and heard a bang from the back of the door. There was a skeleton, one of the dead people that went in earlier. Serim could recognize them. She burst out crying. "Nothing can get worse than this!" she sobbed. Then, something worse happened. Leo fell down and dropped dead to the ground. All of the girls and Tonny saw the paper that Leo's skeleton had left. Serim dropped to the ground as she read the note. "I will stay here with my dead friends no matter what you guys say." she cried out. The note said "Tonny, we will take you as soon as possible when you get to the next room."
